White House Petition To Stop FBI Court Order

Last updated on February 20, 2016 By Serhat Kurt 1 Comment

Apple fans are calling for halting “efforts that compel Apple and other device makers to create a “backdoor” for the Government to access citizens data”. This petition has been launched at the White House. It addresses President Barack Obama. The petition says:

The United States government has demanded that Apple take an unprecedented step which threatens the security of it’s customers.

The FBI, is demanding that Apple build a “backdoor” to bypass digital locks protecting consumer information on Apple’s popular iPhones.

We the undersigned, oppose this order, which has implications far beyond the legal case at hand.

Apple was ordered by a federal judge to comply with the FBI’s request for unlocking the San Bernadino gunmen’s iPhone 5C.

UPDATE: The petition has passed 10,000 signatures.

It is not fair or American to give into this request. We have the right to privacy. Please Apple do not give in. “Dont tread on me”.
