App Store Says No Internet Connection on iPhone
I recently started having an issue where the App Store showed the “No Internet Connection” error message, even though my iPhone was connected to the Internet. As you can see in the screenshot below, the error message further said that my iPhone had no Internet connection and I should turn off Airplane Mode or connect to a Wi-Fi network. This issue prevented me from using the App Store, meaning I could not download, update apps, or make in-app purchases.
There could be several issues causing this problem. For example, the App Store may not be allowed to use cellular data. In this article, I list steps you can follow to fix this issue. Follow the steps in order until the problem is resolved.
- If this issue occurs only when you are using a cellular network, ensure that the App Store is permitted to use cellular data. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular, then scroll down and find the Cellular Data section. Find the App Store option from the list of apps and ensure that it is enabled.
- The second common cause of this problem is the use of VPN. VPN may corrupt your connection. Turn off VPN in Settings, and then you should be able to access the App Store.
- Sometimes, signing out of the App Store and then signing in may fix this issue. This is easy to do. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, select Media & Purchases, and then Sign Out. After signing out, make sure to restart your iPhone. Then, sign in again.
Hopefully, one of these steps has helped resolve the issue.
