How to Add Emergency Contacts on iPhone
There are many features on iPhone and Apple Watch that are designed to help you in case of an emergency. For example, Apple Watch can detect an irregular heart rhythm or alert emergency services if you fall. Both Apple Watch and iPhone have Crash Detection, and you can manually make an Emergency SOS call on either device.
To make the most out of these emergency help features, you should add your health information (Medical ID) and emergency contacts. Your health info will be available for first responders to view, and your emergency contacts will automatically be contacted when a crash is detected or an Emergency SOS call is made from your iPhone. When your emergency contacts receive the notification informing them that you have an emergency, they will be given your location as well.
Crash Detection is available on Apple Watch Ultra, SE (2nd gen), Series 8 and later, and on all iPhone 14 and later models. Fall Detection is available on Apple Watch Ultra, SE, and Series 4 or later.
