I Kept Getting a ‘Cannot Verify Server Identity’ Popup, Here Is How I Fixed It
I recently began seeing an annoying popup that says “cannot verify server identity,” and under it says “the identity of www.some url com cannot be verified” with two options: Details and Cancel. When I tap the Details option, it brings me to a System Settings page, which says the certificate for asampleurl.com isn’t trusted and lists some websites. When I pressed Cancel, the message kept appearing until I fixed it. I was having this problem on my iPhone, but it can also occur on iPad.
This issue is similar to the Calendar spam issue that we have covered before.
To fix this issue, go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Subscribed, review your subsciption list, and then delete any you do not recognize.
If you do not see anything suspicious, open the Calendar app on your device. Tap Calendars at the bottom-center of the screen and review the calendars. Then, delete the one or ones you do not recognize. To delete a calendar, tap the (i) info icon next to a calendar and then tap Unsubscribe.
