How to See Battery Percentage in Mac Menu Bar in Sonoma & Ventura
Knowing the exact percent of battery remaining on your MacBook provides a more accurate indication of how much charge is left compared with just relying on the battery visual icon. For example, if you know you have 17% battery left exactly, you may choose to conserve power by closing some of the apps using significant energy or find a charging source sooner than if you were relying on the visual battery icon.
The battery icon will give you an approximate idea of your battery level. For example, you won’t know exactly how much battery you have left by looking at the icon. However, if you click on the battery icon, you will see the battery percentage. It is easy to place the battery percentage in the Mac menu bar without needing to move your cursor. Doing so in Sonoma and Ventura is a little different than Monterey and earlier versions of macOS. This feature is available on Mac models with batteries, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
